Mrs. Oretha Price
February 26, 1946 - December 9, 2015
Oretha Price was born February 26, 1946, to Martha Clay Glass and Levert Glass. Sr. in Darnell, LA. She was the second oldest of eleven children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Glass. She received her elementary education at the Combs McIntyre School in Oak Grove, LA. Upon her relocation to Los Angeles, CA, she joined New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Frank J. Watson and was a member of the Sanctuary Choir. In later years, Oretha went back to school and obtained her high school diploma and her degree in Office Administration from Los Angeles Southwest College. She did all this while raising five children. Oretha accepted Christ at an early age. In 1997, she moved back to Oak Grove, LA and joined Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was active working with the youth. In 2004, Oretha relocated to Las Vegas, NV. In 2005, she united with Unity Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Raymond L. Giddens, Sr., Pastor. She was a member of the Sanctuary Choir, Voce-President of Women of the Word (WOW) Ministry and also served as a Pre-K teacher in Vacation Bible School. She retired from the Clark County School District. On December 9, 2015. Oretha was called home to be with the Lord.
